So you knew I wouldn't stick with this LiveJournal long, didn't you?

I can't stand not having complete control. It's an illness, really.

A sign you might be just a *little* distracted and/or stressed out and need a break:

You get out nail polish remover and start opening it, thinking it's facial toner/astringent. Even though one is stored in the cabinet and the other is on the shelf.

Thank GOODNESS I realized this before I smothered my face in it. Eeek!

What an utterly fantastic weekend. And it's only 11am on Sunday.

You know what we did yesterday? Not much of anything. We slept until 10, I did a few hours of work on a website I'm trying desparately to finish up (I don't get paid in full till they're done, right?) but other than that, nuttin'. We got showers at like 4 and then went to dinner at a new Japanese steakhouse that opened near us, it was so yummy. It's the kind of place where they cook the stuff right there, our guy was awesome and really funny. He actually was tossing pieces of chicken into our mouths! We left there, completely stuffed. Then we rented 2 movies, went to Lowe's to exhange a doorknob (long story) When we got home, we got on our pjs and watched Taking Lives, which was quite good. After the movie, I attempted to play a video game, but got too sleepy after about 20 minutes that I had to go to bed.

Today is more of the same. Slept until 10 (two days IN A ROW?!? This never happens!), watched a little tv with breakfast, I did a bit of computer work, now I'm going to do some laundry. I might get a shower soon, I might not- we have nowhere to go! We're going to watch the 2nd movie we rented (Hitch) and make some dinner on the grill.

It's amazing how badly we needed a weekend like this. For countless weeks in a row.. since the beginning of May, really... it was run here, run there, go here, stop there, visit them, etc. After running all week to work and appointments, and me working my side jobs and Dan working on his Master's thesis plus a new project he's starting for Inksplash (which we are soooo excited about!), we're nearly exhausted. So getting to stay home for more than a few hours (not counting sleeping) is a true gift. Seriously. I don't think you really appreciate it until you can't do it too often!

Wedding was wonderful. So tired. Feet hurt from all the dancing. 200+ photos. Sister was gorgeous.

Must go to bed.
